Shawntel Royale
SHAWNTEL ROYALE began her music career in Austin, Texas, as the lead singer of the R&B/blues band, Blue Recluse featuring Shawntel Royale. The band played at the legendary Antone’s and helped close the Guadalupe location with blues greats Jimmie Vaughan, Lou Ann Barton and Angela Strehli. Blue Recluse was the regular opener at the Continental Club on South Congress for Miss Lavelle White. In 2000, Royale relocated to Colorado and reformed Blue Recluse. Her powerful vocal style reflects the sound of her heroes Koko Taylor, Etta James and Susan Tedeschi.
Michael Twarogowski
MICHAEL TWAROGOWSKI has been playing blues and rock guitar around Colorado for the last 30 years. Musically educated at the School of Life, Twarogowski’s playing is raw, edgy and soulful. He plays from the heart like many of his heroes including Albert Collins, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. The results will melt your face off.
Christopher Hudson
CHRISTOPHER HUDSON has been playing both acoustic and electric bass in the mountains and on the Front Range since the 1980s. His repertoire includes latin jazz, swing, blues, rock, country, bluegrass and blues. Hudson has played with the likes of Drew Emmitt, Romano Paoletti, The Hand Me Downs, and Free Beer, and his influences include Jaco Pastorius, Pino Palladino and Gary Granger.
Ernie Mose
ERNIE MOSE is a rock solid drummer who can sing like an angel. He has played in a number of Front Range bands in all genres for the last three decades, including Bob Purcell and the Outriders and Fembot.
Ernie Hatfield
LIL ERNIE HATFIELD has played keyboards for a variety of bands, touring the West Coast and Canada extensively in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Since moving to Colorado. he has worked with The Lazy Alien Blues Band, Mo’ Champimple, Lil Ernie and the Big Thang and the Rich Reno Blues Band, just to name a few. His father toured with Ella Fitzgerald and many other blues and jazz greats of the day. Hatfield has the bluesman’s touch on keys and vocals, lending an undeniable authenticity to Blue Recluse’s sound.
